Hena Sadiq is Partner Audit and Assurance and Financial Institutions’ Risk Advisory at Yousuf Adil, Chartered Accountants. She is a fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). She started her career which spans overs 20 years with A.F. Ferguson & Co. She joined Yousuf Adil, Chartered Accountants in 2007. Prior to her role as partner she was Director of Engagement Quality Control Review department of the firm where she was instrumental in setting up the department.

Hena has been involved in assurance engagements of a wide range of financial sector institutions (FSI) including Banks, Insurance, Development Financial Institutions, Asset Management Companies, Brokerage houses and mutual funds. Her Non-FSI experience includes assurance engagements of Oil and gas sector, energy, construction, FMCG, commodities, textile, manufacturing, conglomerates, foods, services, education, NGO and NPOs. Her diversified portfolio consists of multinational and local clients. Hena has advised to multiple clients on accounting opinions and implementation of new accounting standards.

Hena is also leading Financial Institutions’ Risk Advisory department of the firm where her experience includes advisory engagements for international clients of IFRS 9, forensic of specific lending portfolio of the bank, development and quality assurance of policies and procedures of banks and insurance companies and internal controls engagement of banks.

She is currently an active member of Audit Committee of ICAP, Auditing Standards and Ethics Committee, Education and Training Committee, IFRS 17 and Family Takaful working groups of ICAP. Hena is also a member of Evaluation Committee of Best Corporate Reporting Awards of ICAP and ICMAP.

Hena has also served various prestigious professional and business schools as a visiting faculty. She is a trainer at Directors’ Training Program and also presents at seminars and conferences relating to accounting, auditing and corporate governance.

Hena is a traveler and enjoys exploring new places. She is an avid reader, a movie buff and loves her pet cat to bits.
