Senior Consultant / Assistant Manager – Data Governance

Yousuf Adil Chartered Accountants is looking for the position of “Senior Consultant/Assistant Manager Data Governance)” for its Karachi office. The candidate will be responsible to;

•  Conduct current state assessment and Data Maturity Assessment to determine data strategy, governance   framework, and target operating model for data organization.
•  Participate in data management policy (Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Sharing   etc.) and process creation, and analyzing potential impacts of Policies & Processes to the organization.
•  Support the development and maintenance of an end-to-end data lifecycle management approach by being   responsible for applying data governance framework including the management of data, operating model,   data policies and standards.
•  Assist with data architecture reviews and advise on data solutions that pertain to Data Governance programs (Data Catalogue, Data Quality, Business Glossary, data tools/software, metadata management, master data  management, Lineage etc.)
•  Conduct workshops to understand database structure/data lineage analysis in order to understand relevant   data elements along with their definitions and use.
•  Design/Perform data profiling and support in monitoring data quality process, identifying data quality issue   patterns, applying remediation plans, implementation of data controls, and manage data quality remediation   strategies.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements (Data Governance):

• Should be familiar with data management trends and standards (like DMBOK), including data management principles and methodologies.
• Understanding of Information Architecture, Data Modelling, Data Storage, Data Integration, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Master Data Management technology landscape, processes and design principles.
• Operational familiarity in the use of leading commercial vendors or tools/platform that relate to data quality, governance, catalogs, meta-data management, reference & master data management.
•  Proven track record in operating large data governance programs and experience in managing
  enterprise data assets in a large, complex organization.
•  Experience in developing and operationalizing data-based guidelines, policies, procedures, and standards Certifications related to Data Governance, Applicable Vendor or Industry certification is preferred not   mandatory

Qualification:

• A Bachelor’s degree in any data management analysis, computer science, computer engineering,
  statistics, or other IT-related field.

Experience:

• 04 to 07 years of relevant experience
