Mr. Farrukh Ansari is a seasoned M&A specialist with over 28 years of transactional experience across sectors including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, textiles, automobiles, and energy. He began his career at Citibank, NA in 1996 before founding the IJARA Group in 2000. Farrukh launched IJARA’s M&A division in 2006, leading numerous domestic and cross-border transactions. Under his leadership, IJARA grew into a national financial powerhouse, particularly strong in healthcare and pharmaceuticals. He played a key role in building one of Pakistan’s top-10 transnational pharma groups through major acquisitions, including Organon Pakistan, MSD Pakistan & Sri Lanka, Schering Plough Pakistan, AGP, AGP Healthcare, and Johnson & Johnson’s pharma business. He has also been instrumental in turning around distressed companies.
Farrukh founded IJARA Capital Partners Limited (“ICPL”) in 2016, establishing Pakistan’s first entity to obtain a Private Equity and Venture Capital (PE&VC) license. Under his leadership, ICPL has built a diversified investment portfolio with a focus on the FMCG, healthcare, and logistics sectors. In 2018, ICPL completed its first major acquisition with the purchase of Mon Salwa, a leading FMCG company. Farrukh also served two tenures as a Trustee of the Karachi Port Trust (KPT), where he introduced landmark reforms that significantly enhanced KPT’s financial sustainability and commercial performance. Continuing its growth trajectory, ICPL obtained a REIT license in 2022, with two upcoming projects, including a flagship office tower development in one of Karachi’s most affluent districts. In 2025, ICPL executed a landmark pharmaceutical transaction with the acquisition of SPL (formerly OBS, previously Merck Sharp & Dohme), representing four principals in the transaction underscoring its capability to structure and execute complex deals. Most recently, ICPL acquired SindLab Diagnostics, a 40+ years old diagnostics company, further consolidating its presence and expanding its footprint in the healthcare sector.
Mr. Zeeshan Mobin has over 20 years of experience in manufacturing and financial services sectors, is a Fellow member of Paksitan’s Institute of Chartered Accountants and has completed his Chartered Management Accountancy from Pakistan. He is also a member of Institute of Public Accountants, Australia. Zeeshan began his Finance career in 1996 as Assistant Manager with A. F. Ferguson & Co. Chartered Accountants – a member firm of Price Water House Coopers (PWC). In 1997 Zeeshan joined Engro Corporation, serving as Head of Accounts at Engro Vopak. From 2000 – 2003 he served as Internal Auditor and subsequently Head of Plant Accounting for the Engro Chemical (Daharki) manufacturing facility. He subsequently joined Organon Pakistan as Financial Controller in 2003, playing an instrumental role in the Management Buy-Out of Organon Pakistan from Akzo Nobel (Netherlands), and growth of the Pharma Group through acquisitions: MSD Pakistan (2008), MSD Sri Lanka (2009), Schering Plough Pakistan (2010), AGP and AGP Health care (2014) and Jannsen/J&J Pakistan (2015). In 2016, Zeeshan joined IJARA Holdings as CEO and also serving on the Board of ICPL as a Director and Chairman of its Investment Committee (IC). He is also serving on the Board of Wellinnova Life Sciences (Pvt) Ltd, Opal Laboratories (Private) Limited, and Kingsway Healthcare Limited.
Farhan Ancary has been serving at different positions in IJARA Group since July 2000. A business graduate from one of the most prestigious business schools of Pakistan, he has brought his rich experience and expertise in Corporate and Investment Banking to IJARA Group. He is a specialist with core expertise in DCM, M&A, Debt Restructuring, negotiation assistance and has been evolved as a trusted business associate to clients. Farhan has lead transactions across the deal spectrum and have worked on various corporates` across a broad spectrum of industries. As a senior team member, he is responsible for developing and executing business plans, deal restructuring, capital raising plans, structuring and seamless execution to ensure a successful closure of the transactions. Apart from other responsibilities, Farhan is also serving as CEO of ‘Audex Consulting Limited’ and is also serving on the Boards of Quick Food Industries (Private) Limited and Kingsmann Healthcare Limited.
Mohammad Sohail Hassan experience of over 25 years in financial and other sectors including Brokerage House, Construction, Trading, Import & Exports and IT. His core competencies include Finance & Account Operations, Risk & Compliance Management, Fund Management, MIS and negotiations skills. Sohail is a Commerce Graduate from University of Karachi and has done MBA in Finance and Accounts from Preston University.
He was associated with Indosuez W. I. Carr Pakistan (Private) Limited, a subsidiary of Banque Indosuez (world’s 3rd largest Bank) as CFO & Company Secretary for 15 years. A senior level finance professional with strong track record of driving a strong business performance, developing strategies, finance, taxation, investment finalization, audits, ensuring compliance to all administrative matters. He has also served with Dawood Group, KASB Securities and Next Capital as CFO & Company Secretary before joining IJARA Group.
Asdaq started his professional journey from KPMG as a Senior Consultant where he worked with various Corporates on M&A and Advisory transactions with the Corporate Finance team. Subsequently, Asdaq pursued Investment Banking at HBL in the Project Finance & Infrastructure Advisory team where he was assigned to a wide array of transactions ranging from the Steel Industry to Public Private Partnership transactions.
Asdaq completed his Bachelors (Hons) in International Business Management from Newcastle University, London in 2020. Following his Bachelors, he also pursued a Masters in Investment and Finance from Queen Mary, University of London in 2021
Ashas, a former employee at EY SaT (Strategy and Transactions) within their Infrastructure Advisory team, brings extensive expertise in infrastructure projects with a focus on both public and private sector engagements. Over the past few years, Ashas has successfully managed a diverse range of projects in different sectors ranging from Solid Waste, Transportation, SEZs, and Road Infrastructure.
His academic background includes a BSc in Accounting and Finance from Newcastle University Business School (London), underscoring his strong foundation in financial analysis and strategic decision-making within the infrastructure sector.
