The Ambu IV Trainer is for training the insertion of cannulas and catheters, the infusion of fluids and the injection of medication, blood sampling and pulse measurement.

Features 

The Ambu IV Trainer offers a realistic training. The special design incorporates 3 veins and 1 artery. The radialis pulse can be manually simulated and can be felt on the wrist of the IV Arm.

Replaceable skin and veins are made of natural latex, which features hole closure after penetration, extending the lifetime of the arm. The movable wrist and rotating arm ensure absolutely realistic training, especially when a catheter is placed on the back of the hand.

The fluid reservoir is built into the training arm, avoiding a separate reservoir taking up space. The valve system reduces the formation of air pockets in blood vessels. Multi-purpose carry case serves both as a washable underlay and as a protective carrying case. It also incorporates a bracket for easy mounting of infusion stand. The indicator panel represents each blood vessel, giving immediate feedback if e.g. an infusion is correct.

FEATURES:

• The left side of the head is open, permitting supervision of the student's performance. The walls of the pharynx and trachea are transparent, enabling the student to follow the tube down the throat. Acoustic signals triggered by excess pressure on the teeth help the student to correct mistakes. If desired, signal sensitivity can be adjusted. Intubation difficulty can be adjusted so that different patient types can be simulated. 
• The Ambu Airway Management Trainer is designed to train all modern airway management techniques.This makes it possible to train the placement of Orotracheal tubes, Laryngeal Masks, Combitube™, Nasotracheal tubes, Nasopharyngeal tubes, Endotracheal tubes and Guedel airways. 
• The Ambu Airway Management Trainer is easy to clean and can be easy be maintained. All parts can easy be accessed without the need of tools.
• The Ambu Airway Management Trainer gives an accurate simulation of mouth, nostrils, teeth, tongue, pharynx, larynx, epiglottis, vocal cords, trachea, oesophagus and lungs. Realistic lifting and tilting of head gives you the right feel. It has a realistic movement of the head, cervical spine and jaw simulate relevant anatomical changes during intubation.
• The Ambu Airway Management Trainer has also included an electronically tooth sensor that indicates when too much force is applied to the upper teeth.

DESCRIPTION:

• Ambu Man is a modular system. It can be equipped with a tried and tested mechanical monitoring instrument that gives you instant feedback on ventilation volume, stomach inflation, chest compression depth and wrong hand position.
• PC connection is possible on this model, allowing connection of Ambu CPR Software Kit (wireless router required). The I.V. Trainer arm can be mounted on all Ambu manikins. In addition, an upgrade kit (arms & legs)(product # A234000706) can be purchased to convert the Ambu Man Torso into a Full-Body manikin.
• Like all Ambu BLS manikins, the Ambu Man has the patented hygienic system that eliminates the risk of cross infections. All trainees receive their own face piece and head bag for the training. At the end of the training, the face piece can be cleaned and the head bag is discarded. A truly 100% hygienic way of training.
• To create more variance in the training, the stiffness of the chest can be changed and adjusted with just one screw.
• The Ambu Man W (Wireless) does not need cables and wires, which means it can be placed in realistic surroundings away from the computers and power supplies. This gives a great amount of freedom during training and because there are no wires or cables lying around it gives an even more realistic scenario. The manikin is also equipped with a mechanical monitoring instrument showing effectiveness of the resuscitation, including results achieved for ventilation volume and depth of external chest compression. Moreover, it indicates any stomach inflation and incorrect hand positioning.
• The airway of all manikins open only when the head is correctly hyper extended. A carotid pulse can be activated manually by the instructor. It is also activated during chest compressions.
• The lifelike anatomy makes it suitable for training a correct placement of defib pads in training use of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED).
